The Luda Yana dam above Panagyurishte is one of the newest completed dams in Bulgaria, with a total volume of 20 million cu.m and a 50-metre-high dam wall. The complex includes the dam wall with its associated facilities, a drinking water treatment plant, pumping stations, water mains to the high and low zones and a service building.
The facility provides drinking water for over 40,000 people in Panagyurishte and seven settlements in the municipality. The use permit was issued in December 2025.
